SXR was established in 2012 by a group of friends looking to create a fun and friendly R/C club. Our first meeting was in September 2012 and since then the club has grown in numbers and welcomes a varied array of members from different backgrounds and experiences with RC.

SXR is affiliated to the BRCA - club no. 152904

The club meets at:

Solihull Municipal Club
Brick Kiln Lane
B91 3LE

Enter through the door on the right and follow the corridor round to the right to find us in the main room

SXR races every other Wednesday evening with doors opening at 18:00 for track set-up and booking-in. Booking-in closes at 19:00 with the first race on the line by 19:15. Help with setting up before the race and packing away at the end of the night is much appreciated as this may lead to more rounds of racing.

Depending on the number of classes running we aim to have 3 x 5 minute heats and 1 x 5 minute final.

The club uses a MYLAPS RC4 system which is the leading system in rc racing which is connected to a projector and screen to see progress during heats and races provided your car has a compatible transponder.

SXR races on a carpet surface with a variety of vertical features to ensure the racing experience is truely off-road. The size of the new track is 18 meters X 16 Meters, allowing us to create a full width (2m) track with a typical length of 64meters.

If you’re after some mid-week R/C racing action, then look no further. At SXR, we cater for buggies, monster trucks and micro-scale. It doesn’t matter if you've never raced before, SXR is all about experiencing the fun and camaraderie of R/C racing.
